This is the scene I turned in as my final lesson for my Pixel Art class. I had a good time in the class and would recommend it to anyone that is into those kind of graphics. The teacher was very nice and she was great if any of us had any problems. I hope she offers a Pixel Art 2 class at sometime in the future.

This is the last week of the Pixel Art class I am taking. I have already signed up for a digital art (painting) class starting in November, so you all will continue to have to suffer my artistic endeavors
This week, we are putting everything we have learned in Pixel Art into a scene, but we had a couple new things to add this week as well.
It’s long been a dream of mine to have Papillon art and it’s mostly been unsuccessful, so when I saw we learned how to make a puppy in the pixel art class, I was excited. While this is not a Papillon, I hope that it will give us the ability to make Papillons in the future (and I think it will with enough persistence).
So I give you my Pixel Art Puppy!

This week our assignment was to make a log cabin. This was a very time consuming lesson with many tiny parts, but it was not nearly as complicated as I thought it was going to be on first look at the lesson.
I’m pretty happy with the way my cabin turned out, but I am not a fan of light woods. I may try this little cabin again using darker tones for the wood. When I think of a log cabin, I think of dark bark.

Last week (I’m a bit behind with my pixeling with everything going on here) we made clouds, trees, rocks, flowers, grass and sky in our lesson.
I put all that stuff together in a scene to post my homework. I’m sure it will change once we get the rest of the items made, but here is my scene as of this week.

I’m a bit behind on my Pixel Art class with all the stuff that has gone on in the last 10 days or so, but I did manage to get partially caught up today.
It took me quite a while to get this tree done as it’s a lot of filling in at the pixel level. I’m fairly happy with the way it turned out though.
I also did my pixel roses. These I’m pretty happy with and may make a few more colors just for the fun of it. The leafy parts were a bit rough (and yes I know these are not really rose leaves, but I’m not that good yet)

This week in the world of pixel art, we learned to make tiny people….really tiny people
My next project is going to be working on making tiny people (and hopefully eventually puppies) bigger so that we don’t all go blind trying to see them.
We also learned how to make a lace runner. Frankly, I can’t really see any use for this type of graphic, but I suppose there are people out there that have found a use. I don’t envision making loads of these though.

I’m on a roll blogging today (hopefully it lasts this time)
Anna and I decided to expand our graphics horizons once again, so we are taking a class on Pixel Art. We are on week 2 of 6 so we are just learning the basics right now, but I thought I would share my Week 2 “masterpieces.”
